Green, Blue-Green, Teal & Grey Sapphires

Green, Blue-Green, Teal & Grey Sapphires

Green to Teal to Grey and every shade in between!

Green, Blue-Green, Teal and Grey Sapphires include quite a variety of hues in that part of the spectrum. They can be light, medium or dark toned.

Sapphires and Rubies are actually the same mineral – corundum. Pure Corundum is colorless; the trace elements iron and titanium produce Green, Blue-Green and Teal Sapphires

Sapphires are routinely treated to improve their clarity and color. However, many of our Green, Blue-Green, Teal and Grey Sapphires are completely Natural and untreated (see product labeling on each gem).

Principal mining locations for these colors are Tanzania, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Thailand, Australia and Montana (USA).

They are durable gemstones with a hardness of 9 on the Mohs Scale and can easily be used in all types of jewelry.

Sapphires are September’s birthstone and their variety of colors offers so much choice! They also celebrate the 5ᵗʰ and 45ᵗʰ Anniversaries.
